There are plenty of hiking trails within a few minutes drive from Ridgway within the San Juan Mountains including Mt. Sneffles and Cimarron Wilderness and surrounding BLM lands. Ridgway Area Trails (RAT) are a series of interconnected trails in and around the town of Ridgway. From the Weaver Trail System and the Angel Ridge Trails (both accessible from Town Park) to high Alpine trails such as the Dallas Trail, there are over 40 miles of single track in what many refer to as some of the most beautiful and scenic trails in the country. AMAZING SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVALS
The Ridgway Concert Series is the newest FREE outdoor concert series on the Western Slope held in Ridgway, Colorado. Each Thursday in the month July, Ridgway will feature awesome live music, along with great food, non-alcoholic beverages, and beer and wine for purchase. Each concert will be a multi-faceted family-friendly affair, with great kids’ entertainment to go along with the music. This offers all of our communities a substantial marketing opportunity for a “Western Slope Concert Series”.
The music will not be limited to a single genre. The focus will be first, and foremost, to bring in high-level talent at a reasonable cost. The secondary focus will be to provide multiple styles of music over the course of summer, which will invite a wide array of visitors into our communities. Since this is also a community-oriented event, the varied genres of music will reach out to the varied musical tastes of locals to ensure their attendance, which is vital to our success.
