Spring Flower Painting Workshop with Rita Pacheco

Create a beautiful impressionist style still life with local artist, Rita Pacheco. Rita has over 30 years of experience, and has a real passion for painting from life. She will set up several still life subjects, including florals and a range of other objects to choose to isolate and paint. We will explore composition, the “blocking in” of a painting and paint application. Students will leave the workshop with a better understanding of “seeing with an artistic eye” and their finished painting! Join us for Saturday only, or extend your experience to Sunday for more time to paint and further refine your practice. All materials will be provided.* * Students are welcome to bring their own acrylic or oil paint if they are more comfortable doing so (preferred color palette: titanium white, cad yellow light, yellow ochre, cad red light, burnt sienna, ultramarine blue, rose madder or second choice alizarin crimson). If you’re bringing oil paint, don’t forget to bring an odorless solvent! Cost:$50 for Saturday only or $90 for Saturday AND Sunday. Type Sunday as Activation Code during checkout.
