Winter Wonderland: After-School Art Session for Ages 5-8

During three weeks of Winter Wonderland fun, young artists will immerse themselves in the magic of winter through various creative mediums, encouraging exploration and experimentation. We will create tiny winter worlds and sculpt clay figures to make our own personalized snow globes, experiment with Gelli plates to create textured prints inspired by delicate winter snowflakes, and combine fun watercolor painting and drawing techniques to create cozy winter village scenes. Weehawken's youth art classes aim to nurture: Creativity & fine motor skills Self esteem & social-emotional skills Self expression, imagination & artistic exploration! * This class is a drop-off class. Ms. Claudia meets her students at the elementary school preschool/kindergarten gate at 3:00pm and escorts them to the Cora classroom. Parents who drop off their children can meet the group at the Cora classroom at ~3:15pm. * Should your child have any special needs please contact before class to ensure that your child will have a fun time. * Voyager add-on option: Voyager teachers will meet and escort students after art class and provide after school care from 4:30pm-5:30pm. Parents pick up their children at Voyager at 280 N Cora Street. Cost:$60 for the 5 week session OR $75 with the Voyager add-on option.
