The RACC recently sat down with the co-owner of Cora Fitness Amy Gray and are excited to share her story.

1. Who are the owners of Cora Fitness and what brought you to the area?
My husband, Rodney Gray, and myself, Amy Gray, are the owners of Cora Fitness. We moved to San Miguel County to escape the overcrowding of Summit County in the fall of 2019. We absolutely love living in the San Juans!
2. When did Cora Fitness open and how does it operate?
Cora Fitness was opened by it's previous owner in March 2020 (perfect timing eh?). We purchased the business iin February 2023. We are a 24/7 access fitness center. I have been a personal trainer for over 20 years and offer one-on-one training as well as small group coaching.
3. What types of machines and equipment do you offer?
We have two treadmills, an elliptical, Water Rower, two indoor bikes, a cable machine, leg press, squat rack, Smith machine, free weights from 2.5 lbs to 70 lbs, kettlebells, several TRX, an ARX, several multi-function weight machines, and more!
4. What tips do you have for sticking to a workout routine?
Implementiing a new habit is hard! The key is to start small. Start by just scheduling a quick 10-15 minute workout one or two days a week. Once you have succeeded with that, gradually start increasing the length of your workouts and add another day. A great way to help kickstart your new habit and ensure you're working out safely is to hire a personal trainer. This will give your workouts structure and you'll have someone to hold you accountable!
5. What excited you about becoming a member with the Ridgway Chamber?
We love being a part of the community in this special mountain town. Joining the RACC is one way we hope to become more integrated with other small businesses, locals, and visitors alike.
