2019 Career Experience Fair For Ridgway Businesses And Students

Career Experience Fair at Ridgway Secondary School

PLEASE NOTE THE NEW DATE & TIME OF THE FAIR.

On Monday, May 13, 2019, the Ridgway Secondary School is hosting a Career Experience Fair to connect middle and high school students to nonprofit volunteer opportunities and to introduce high school students to part-time work opportunities in our community.

This one-hour event from Noon a.m. to 1 p.m. is a great opportunity for local businesses and nonprofits to share information about their organizations and companies as well as volunteer openings, internships and temporary or long-term jobs.

The Ridgway Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes that local business success is predicated on local talent, and our first priority talent pipeline should be our local students. We also support our nonprofits in achieving their missions to create positive impact in the community, and the Ridgway School District in its goal of preparing students for careers through personal experience.

If you are interested in having a representative (or two) from your company or nonprofit at the fair, please fill out and return the online registration form by May 6. There is a $20 fee to offset fair organization expenses. The Ridgway Chamber as a co-sponsor of the event will pay the fee for chamber members. To learn about chamber membership and become a member, visit https://ridgwaycolorado.com/about/member-benefits.

If you have questions, please contact Career Experience Fair Coordinator Tanya Ishikawa  at  or 303-819-7784.

The Ridgway Chamber of Commerce is also taking applications from students for its Summer Apprenticeship Program. Apprenticeships are being offered in Summer 2019 at Beautifully Served by Jill, Cowgirl Creations Flowers & Gifts, Lucky Find Consignments, Mountain Girl Gallery, and RIGS Fly Shop & Guide Service.
