Who are the mountain girls?
The artists with works in Mountain Girl Gallery are: Deidra Krois (potter), Jill Rikkers (blacksmith), Lizzie Fike (jeweler), and Lucy Boody (textile artist).
How and when did the business come together?
Four local female artists came together in the summer of 2017 to start a cooperative art gallery as a leap of faith. Five years later it is still serving our community with unique handmade art.
What are your hours and how do you staff your store?
December hours are Thursday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The artists take turns staffing the gallery.
What do you wish more people knew about your gallery?
The artists live and work locally and shopping at the Mountain Girl Gallery keeps dollars in the local economy. New unique items are continuously popping up at the gallery – stop by for a fresh look and don't hesitate to ask about custom work.
What are some examples of great holiday gifts at your gallery?
We have perfect holiday gifts including stocking stuffers and Ridgway merchandise. Gift ideas include: sterling silver mountain stack rings, inspirational quote coffee mugs, handwoven wearable art, and hand-forged gemstone utensils.
What’s happening in December?
We will be closed Christmas day and New Year’s day. We will be offering discounts, tasty bites and good times during Noel Night, December 2. As a December sweet deal we will be offering 15% off most items when you spend $150+.

The Ridgway Area Chamber of Commerce promotes business and community development in the Town of Ridgway and the surrounding area.
