Who are the owners of Ouray Brokers and how long have you been in business?
Tim and Deb Currin are the owners of Ouray Brokers and have a combined tenure in the business of over 50 years. Ouray Brokers is so fortunate to have Carl Cockle who was born and raised in Ouray and Candace Anderson who has a strong background in construction and technology. Both Carl and Candace are invaluable to our team.
What do you like most about working in the real estate industry?
Bringing Buyers and Sellers together is very rewarding. We really enjoy assisting people from start to finish in achieving one of the most important decisions in their lives.
Do you have any buyer tips?
We have a lot to offer in working with a first home buyer or a seasoned investor looking for that all important purchase. Negotiations are key in accomplishing their goals and we have the experience necessary to make it happen.
Do you have any seller tips?
Knowledge of the market is one of the most important factors in establishing a relationship with our Sellers. Understanding their home and their goals is first. Educating and sharing a Comparable Market Analysis of other properties in our area will enable the Sellers to make realistic decisions on pricing for their property. Suggesting improvements and repairs to make the Sellers home stand in the best light possible is the first step in getting the property ready to market Along with this is the staging process so that a potential buyer can see themselves living in their new home.
What brought you to Ridgway and what is your favorite part?
We moved from Breckenridge, Colorado to Ridgway after completing several real estate developments. Our decision to move here was for the lifestyle. We love the mountains and recreational opportunities that Southwestern Colorado has to offer.
What do you find valuable about the chamber of commerce?
Having been involved for several years with Chamber support I feel it’s very important to offer this service to the community and most importantly the visitors seeking information about our community.
