Stella Concrete Services is RACC November 2025 Member of the Month

Stella Concrete Services

The Ridgway Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce Stella Concrete Services as our November 2025 Member of the Month! The Member of the Month program is an ongoing effort by the Chamber to provide residents and visitors information about businesses and organizations in the area and promote the patronage of our local resources and our small, independent companies. RACC recently sat down with owners Josey and Charlie Scoville to discuss how the birth of their daughter inspired them to begin a concrete business.

Q: Please introduce yourself and your business?

Hi there! We are Charlie & Josey Scoville, co-owners of Stella Concrete Services. We have two children who attend middle school in Ridgway, and we are proud to be local business owners who employ people from all around the area.

Q: How long has Stella Concrete been servicing the area around Ridgway and why did you decide to call Ridgway home?

We started Stella Concrete Services in the spring of 2012 when our firstborn daughter (Stella!) was just 3 months old. Charlie had moved to Ridgway in the early 1990s with his family and graduated from Ridgway Secondary School. He left for a couple of years for college and then moved back home to Ridgway to build custom homes with his father in the early 2000s. I, Josey, on the other hand, came to Ridgway in 2004 to live with a college friend for the winter before planning to leave for Arizona for graduate school. Instead I met Charlie and amazing friends, built a life here, and never left.

Q: What services does Stella Concrete currently offer?

Stella Concrete has done both concrete foundations & flatwork for the past 13.5 years, and just this past spring we added gyp-crete services to the mix. We generally focus on new home foundations and commercial work in Ouray, San Miguel, and Montrose counties.

Q: What has been the most memorable project you have worked on?

It was an honor to work on the remodel project for the Old Firehouse in Ridgway. It was great to be a part of the incredible transformation of that important cornerstone space in our community. We have also worked on very cool projects in Telluride where the historic building is basically raised on stilts and preserved while we build new foundations and levels below. Building space is a premium in our area as we all know!

Q: What is the most rewarding part of serving the Ridgway community?

Employing locals and being a part of building people's dream homes and businesses!
