The focus is first, and foremost, to bring in high-level talent and make it accessible to the whole community. The secondary focus is to provide multiple music genres to match a wide range of ages and tastes.
The Sherbino Theater is the most active music venue in town with incredible bands and musicians from around the U.S., appearing on stage throughout the year. Most concerts are focused on providing great dance music, while all provide talented musicians and singers, with nationwide followings. The Sherbino also features more laid-back music events with local and regional soloists and duets perfoming on weekend afternoons.
The Ridgway Rendezvous in mid-August brings in many bands and performances on the Hartwell Park stage all weekend long. Organized by Weehawken Creative Arts, the Rendezvous is known for an eclectic mix of musicians from jazz to country and hard rock.
The Chipeta Solar Springs Resort also provides musical entertainment throughout the summer with musicians booked at the Sky Bar, a relaxing spot to take in one of the best views in the valley. Past performers have included local favorites like guitarist David Nunn, jazz saxophonist Yasuo Ishikawa and multi-talented, multi-genre drummer Chris Goplerud.
