Amazing Music Scene

Whether it’s national touring acts at The Sherbino, the free concert series in the park, or sunset sessions on a rooftop bar, music is woven into the rhythm of Rigway's local life.

The primary focus of local music initiatives is to bring in high-level talent and make performances accessible to the whole community. The secondary focus is to incorporate multiple music genres in order to interest a wide range of ages and tastes.

The Sherbino

The Sherbino theater is Ridgway’s liveliest music hub, hosting an impressive lineup of bands and musicians from across the country throughout the year. Most shows are geared toward high-energy, dance-worthy performances, while others spotlight the artistry of acclaimed singers and instrumentalists with national followings. On weekend afternoons, the vibe slows down with intimate sets from local and regional soloists and duos, offering a more relaxed way to enjoy live music.

Ridgway Concert Series

The annual Ridgway Concert Series takes place every Thursday in July, bringing live music to the outdoor stage in Hartwell Park. The weekly July event is free and open to the public. No dogs are allowed during the show and outside beverages are prohibited — a beer and wine tent is located at the north end of the park. Following the show, Music After Dark is hosted at STEPS Tavern.

Ridgway Fête de la Musique

Ridgway’s popular Fête de la Musique is held every year in late June. It is a free, outdoor celebration of live music, community, and summer vibes, presented by Citizens State Bank, Weehawken Creative Arts, and The Sherbino. The one-day celebration transforms downtown Ridgway into a bustling open-air festival showcasing music from over 15 acts across multiple stages.

White Buffalo at Chipeta

The Chipeta Lodge Resort & Spa also provides musical entertainment throughout the summer with musicians booked at the White Buffalo rooftop bar, a relaxing spot to take in one of the best views in the valley. Past performers have included local favorites like guitarist David Nunn, jazz saxophonist Yasuo Ishikawa, and the multi-talented, multi-genre drummer Chris Goplerud.

Other late night music venues include Colorado Boy Pub & Brewery, Floating Lotus Brewery, and The Million Roadhouse.
