Please tell us about the business’s owners. 

Joe Ryan (father) and Kelly Ryan (daughter) are the owners of San Juan Hut Systems (SJHS). Joe is originally from Kansas City but has spent all of his adult life wandering the West's mountains. Kelly has always considered this area home as her father has lived here her whole life and the San Juans call to her.

The owners of Stacie's Apothecary Shoppe are Jacob and Stacie Veatch, both originally from Oregon, but privileged to call Ridgway home! We have been in Colorado for 12 years now.

Ridgway secures $15,000 state tourism grant for Visitor Center redesign

The Ridgway Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Town of Ridgway, secured a $15,000 Colorado Tourism Office grant to redesign the Ridgway Visitor Center and Heritage Park. This grant, announced in January, was the second awarded to the Ridgway Chamber in the last six months, bringing local tourism grant funding to a total of $30,000.

Spring 2019 Youth Volunteer Fair

Volunteer and community service are often requirements for scholarships, college entrance and other goals of students. In fact, National Honor Society members are required to volunteer 10 hours per semester. However, it can be difficult or confusing for youth to know which nonprofits need volunteers and how and when to volunteer.

Ridgway and Ouray Receive State Grant to Promote Off-Peak Season Tourism

The Ridgway Area Chamber of Commerce (RACC) and the Ouray Tourism Office (OTO) are pleased to announce their recent award of a $10,000 marketing grant from the Colorado Tourism Office to promote countywide, off-peak season visitation and tourism-driven economic opportunities. Ridgway and Ouray recognize that summer tourism visitation is at or near maximum capacity. In contrast, local businesses struggle to keep a consistent cash flow during the shoulder seasons of October through April.

Visitors Center & Ridgway Area Chamber

The Ridgway Area Chamber of Commerce promotes business and community development in the Town of Ridgway and the surrounding area. The chamber operates the Visitors Center, which is open from May 1 through October 1 and is located at 150 Racecourse Road, Ridgway, Colorado 81432 (across from Citizens Bank off of HWY 62).
